St. John The Divine
Johnson Cartwright Jarman Architects, P.A., is pleased to be the architects for the new St. John the Divine Episcopal Church in Ruskin, Florida. This new church facility is currently under construction with Canco General Contractors, Inc. serving as Client Representative and Construction Manager.
This fully sprinklered, 11,872 s.f. church facility is Phase 1 of a much larger master-planned church complex. When subsequent phases are complete, the church will almost triple in size. The Nave constructed during Phase 1 will be joined with the adjacent Parish Hall to creating an even larger church hall when Phase 2 is completed. A new, larger Nave will be constructed during Phase 2 of the master plan.
The design includes Nave and Parish Hall facilities as well as a full commercial kitchen, administrative, and support spaces. Pipe Organ Chambers have been integrated as well as theater lighting and video display screens to enhance the congregation’s ability to put on high-quality theatric productions.
Incorporating Gothic influenced architectural elements, this traditional church design features arched window surrounds, clerestory windows to bring the “outdoors” and an abundance of daylight into the Nave and Parrish Hall spaces, a standing seam metal roof, and a bell tower reminiscent of ecclesiastical structures of old.
