Under construction in 2004, our partners completed a full campus renovation of this Historic 1925 Elementary School Campus as well as a 10 classroom building addition at the Southeast corner of the campus. The overall project budget was approximately $4 million.
Specific renovation activities included an extensive remodeling of the schools administration offices which increased productivity and usability, re-building of the school’s iconic cupola, re-roofing of the school’s historic main campus building, an addition to the cafeteria / multi-purpose building bringing this space more in line with the square footages of similar structures constructed today, roof deck replacement on a small classroom building, and HVAC and Electrical enhancements throughout.
The CFK Classroom addition building provided ten much needed new classrooms to the campus and the building was designed as an EHPA (Enhanced Hurricane Protection Area) compliant structure.
