This community was designed using the principals of new urbanism while striking a careful balance between the total number of residences and the site’s abundance of large and grand tree specimens. A certified arborist was consulted throughout the design process and the master plan was modified numerous times as the right balance of natural and built environments was formulated.
The design process culminated in a master plan for a vibrant community of 270 residences comprised of two and three bedroom town homes and one and two bedroom flats. Amenities including a clubhouse and pool adjacent to a pristine wetlands area gracefully surrounded by palmettos, a formal central pond, community entry marker, bridge, and park areas were included in the scope of this project.
This plan is the first phase of a much larger plan which will incorporate office and retail uses on an adjacent parcel to the west. With the future planned development in mind, a bridge over the existing canal separating the two parcels has been designed in order to allow for easy travel by foot, bike, and motorized vehicles between the two parcels.
